Our Passionate Team

We are fortunate to have compassionate, sympathetic, attentive, skilled, and knowledgeable staff.  Most of our patient care coordinators, audiology aids, administrators, and office manager, have experience in Audiology and the hearing aid dispensing industry, and others have at least a BA in Communicative Disorders along with experience in this field.  We also hire graduate students in Audiology.   The DoctorsOfHearing team embraces the patient care centered approach model.  As consumers and patients, we know a positive patient experience is critical in order to deliver the best care possible.

At DOH, we ensure that our patients leave satisfied with our care and with their needs fulfilled as these two aspects are critical aspects of the healthcare industry. We try to make health care access convenient and safe.  We currently have 3 clinics to serve you, our Glendora location is ideal to serve those patients with emergencies because it has a large parking lot and a spacious clinic. (This location is in the middle of Pasadena and Rancho Cucamonga offices).

All of our providers are Audiologists and no one works on commission. Our focus is on patient care and creating a positive experience. Our providers are ASHA certified (American Speech-Language and Hearing Association).

Some hold both certifications, ASHA and ABA board-certified (American Board of Audiology), and some of our providers are members of the California Academy of Audiology and American Academy of Audiology.

Bilingual in English and Spanish, she has earned numerous certifications, including clinical competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, certification from the American Board of Audiology.  She is a member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, California Academy of Audiology, and American Academy of Audiology. She is licensed in California to practice audiology and to dispense hearing aids.

Her dedication to advocacy and community service has been widely recognized. In 2019, she was named Woman of the Year by Congresswoman Judy Chu for her work supporting underserved populations, including veterans, musicians, low-income communities, and college students who cannot afford hearing aids. Dr. Camacho provides counseling, mental health resources in audiology, and emotional support alongside audiological care. She has also been recognized by the Mayor of Pasadena for her community contributions.

Dr. Camacho’s advocacy extends to policy. She coordinated congressional efforts that led to the declaration of May as Better Hearing Month and has met with lawmakers in Washington, D.C., and California to support legislation for Medicare patients and children with hearing loss. Contributed to the passage of California’s AB 598, the Pediatric Hearing Aid Bill, expanding access to hearing aids for all children in the state.

Passionate about education, Dr. Camacho is developing Spanish-language resources—including videos and radio interviews—to provide the Spanish-speaking community with accurate information on audiology and hearing aids.

In 2011, recognizing the need for an ethical, patient-centered practing best practices hearing care provider, Dr. Camacho founded Doctors of Hearing, Inc. and soon after the Love2Hear Foundation. Her practice and foundation prioritize compassion, expert knowledge, and the highest standards of care, serving patients with hearing loss, balance disorders, and tinnitus across California.

Her outreach has focused on those disadvantaged college students, musicians, veterans, and low-income communities that are not able to afford hearing aids. She also provides these groups with counselling, mental health resources, and emotional support. The Mayor of Pasadena also recognized her kind efforts and awarded her a certificate of recognition for her dedication to the residents of her city. Dr. Camacho’s inspiration is her nephew who was diagnosed with hearing loss at the age of 7 years old. Both of her elderly parents also have hearing loss. Dr. Camacho served as the membership chair for the California Academy of Audiology from December of 2018-December of 2019. Dr Norma, with the help of her assistant, helped spread awareness of hearing loss by coordinating videos from 8 members of the US Congress, including the GOP Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy and Rep. Adam Schiff; as a result, Rep. Judy Chu and Rep. Adam Schiff declared the Month of May as Better Hearing Month. Dr. Norma openly advocates for her profession and for the development of the hearing community. Other than being a great audiologist she has a tender heart towards rehabilitation. Therefore, she visited several politicians in Washington DC and in their offices in CA to advocate for Medicare patients (Bill HR4056 in Congress “companion bill in” Senate S2446). Dr. Camacho recently visited the State Capital in Sacramento with her father. She met with Senator Portantino to ask him to support Bill AB 598 “The Pediatric Hearing Aid Bill”.

This bill passed and now all kids in California will have access to hearing aids. She is an active advocate for her profession in the past and present.
Dr. Norma will continue to respond to other bills relating to the hearing community and her profession. Dr. Camacho is well-known for being compassionate and very patient. Many of her current patients have been referring to her for many years. In 2019, she visited Paul Sanchez the Executive office for the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board to find ways to improve customer protection as it relates to the sales of hearing aids. Dr. Camacho’s persuasive skills for the progress of people who are suffering from hearing loss made her a symbol of hope among people. She is actively working on Spanish videos to provide guidance and information to the community as currently, limited information exists in Spanish. This information is intended to serve as guidance to avoid confusion and to avoid being victimized by those that sell amplifiers that do not work. She is also working to release two radio interviews in Spanish to provide the Spanish speaking community with valuable information regarding Audiology, and hearing aids.

When she was in the beginning of her career she identified that there is an unbridled need for an ethical place people can go to obtain reliable information about hearing loss and utilize the most current technology in hearing. Therefore, in 2011 she founded Doctors of Hearing Inc. and the Love2hear Foundation. You will love Doctors of Hearing Inc. and Love2hear because all employees are compassionate, they love what they do, and enjoy to serve others.
